My name is Charles Knight CEO and President of EditMyCredit. I have been in the mortgage, real estate and credit repair industry for almost 20 years! I spent a decade working with a Legal and Compliance Executive from Experian, the top credit reporting agency. As Experian’s  expert witness he testified in Federal Hearings, Attorney General Reviews and with the BBB concerning consumer credit.

As my mentor, he guided my legal training on the Federal Laws that protect the rights of consumer’s including; the Fair Credit Billing Act, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

He also taught me how the credit reporting agencies operate and how to escalate investigations past the simple consumer disputes that only verify accounts which is all most consumer credit repair does. With this knowledge and training, I became a Consumer Advocate and designed the “Forensic Credit Correction” process to help consumers maximize their credit scores as quickly as possible.
